Justice League or The Avengers And why

"Zack Snyder’s Justice League": "Avengers 4" maker supports the Snyder cut

After comic enthusiasts all over the world virtually fell on their knees for years and started an extraordinary fan movement with the hashtag #ReleaseTheSnyderCut, now it's actually coming: The Snyder-Cut is supposed to be titled "Zack Snyder's Justice League" in the course of the year 2021.

Not only comic fans, but also the stars of the film are relieved about this - even if cyborg actor Ray Fisher recently caused a tense atmosphere behind the scenes of the DC Extended Universe with allegations against Snyder substitute Joss Whedon.

Joe Russo is for the Snyder Cut

Benevolent words in the direction of the DC upgrade come from Marvel director Joe Russo, who staged four MCU adventures with his brother Anthony - including "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame":

"I think it's always great when a director can bring their original vision to the screen [or in this case, the screen]," Joe Russo replied now to the question of ComicBookMovie.comwhat he thinks of the Snyder-Cut.

But whether it really isalways is great when a director can achieve his vision? Anyone who has seen Olivier Megaton's Netflix thriller "The Last Days Of American Crime" might disagree - but that's a different story.

"Avengers: Endgame" & Co. were Director’s Cuts

At the same time, the filmmaker took the opportunity to show himself happy that - in contrast to Zack Snyder on "Justice League" - he could always shoot his films for Marvel the way he wanted.

"Everything we've done for Marvel, we can call our Director's Cuts," said Russo. Joe and Anthony Russo have always been sure of support from the studio, for which the brothers are also very grateful: "There is nothing that has been removed in the cut that we would like to have in the film."

Then the Snyder-Cut of "Justice League" appears

As Warner Bros. and DC confirmed in June, "Zack Snyder’s Justice League" is to appear between the beginning and the middle of 2021 - between January and June. The new version will appear exclusively on HBO Max in the USA, in this country the Snyder cut will most likely be shown on Warner's long-term partner Sky.

So there is still a little way to go before we get to see Zack Snyder's vision for the big showdown with Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). You can get a foretaste in the first trailer.
